Wizz Air, the fastest growing airline in Europe, and the most environmentally sustainable airline globally*, today celebrated the arrival of its 7th aircraft to its base at Sofia Airport. The airline also launched 2 new routes from Sofia to Stockholm and to Hamburg and increased the frequency on 11 of its most attractive routes. With the new aircraft, Wizz Air's fleet in Bulgaria reaches the total of 10 aircraft. Today, at an official press conference, Wizz Air welcomed the new aircraft at the departure of the newest Sofia-Hamburg flight.

The launch of the two new routes: to the German city of Hamburg and to the capital of Sweden, Stockholm, is another proof of the airline's ambitions to develop the Bulgarian market by expanding its network and adding more travel options. Tickets on both routes are on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com or via the airline's mobile application. At today's joint press conference with Sofia Airport, Wizz Air also announced the increase in the frequency of its flights to 11 Sofia routes. From today, passengers will have more choice for travel from the Bulgarian capital to the following exciting destinations: Basel, Abu Dhabi, Brussels, Paris, Valencia, Eindhoven, Geneva, Nice, Memmingen (Munich - West), Barcelona, Tel Aviv.
