Yamato Kogyo Co., Ltd. (TSE:5444) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 1,100,100 shares, representing 1.63% of its share capital for ¥3,540.12 million at a purchase price of ¥3,218 per share. The program will expire on December 29, 2021. As of October 29, 2021, the company had 67,670,000 shares in issue and 1,992,446 shares in treasury.
YAMATO KOGYO CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of shape steel. The Company operates through four geographic segments. The Steel (Japan) segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of H-shape steel, channel steel, I-shape steel, steel sheet piles, elevator guide rails, shaped steel for shipbuilding and ship cans, among others. The Steel (South Korean) segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of steel bars.
