"Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center" now provides the industrial meter calibration service and continues to operate without compromising its core values

"Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center" was established by Zorlu Enerji in the 3rd Organized Industrial Zone, Gaziantep. The center continues its operations as the first and only accredited calibration center in the east of Turkey with the authority to calibrate G4 and G650-type domestic and industrial natural gas meters.

The laboratory proved its validity in scientific methods and doubled its domestic meter capacity in 2022. Being accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency TÜRKAK, the laboratory started industrial meter calibration operations after obtaining competence certificate from the Ministry of Industry and Technology in the same year.

Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center expands its activities

Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center Manager Mehmet Akif Deniz mentioned that they had started calibration activities for G10 to G650 commercial and industrial meters. He continued: "Our Calibration Center has expanded its activities to include G10 to G650 meter types, after the G4 to G6 type domestic meter calibration. Furthermore, by obtaining certificates of competency from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, our Calibration Center expanded its activities with the 'Calibration of Rotary/Turbine type industrial meters used in production, transmission, and distribution lines used in commercial and industrial applications with high consumption requiring high flow, and in the trading platforms used for interstate and intercity gas delivery operations carried out in Turkey and worldwide."

Gaziantep Provincial Science and Technology Director Mustafa Taşdemir, Branch Manager İbrahim Ataş, and a technical team visited Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center operating in Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone to discuss new areas of activity. During the visit, participants exchanged their views. And Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center Manager Mehmet Akif Deniz gave information about the future goals of the Calibration Center, the meter quantities and types to be calibrated in the coming years.

The Calibration Center uses scientific and universal test methods

Stating that the Calibration Center was deemed competent by TÜRKAK, the Turkish Accreditation Agency, Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center Manager Mehmet Akif Deniz added: "The laboratory has obtained a qualification certificate from TÜRKAK. It documents that the Calibration Center uses scientific and universal test methods on national and international platforms. Therefore, it is proved that the Calibration Center is a laboratory working with international standards regarding the traceability of measurements. And the Calibration Center has demonstrated that it adopted a full quality policy by passing audits on confidentiality, impartiality, and independence, which are the articles of the TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 Standard. The Calibration Center has also proven that it gave accurate and precise results in the interlaboratory comparison experiments conducted by TÜBİTAK UME (National Metrology Institute working under the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) during the accreditation process."

Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center calibrates its meters in line with the standards set by the "Regulations for Metering and Measuring Instruments" and meticulously conducts laboratory tests. Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center also passed the inspection carried out by the Gaziantep Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
