REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (AP) _ Zuora Inc. (ZUO) on Wednesday reported a loss of $20.1 million in its fiscal second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Redwood City, California-based company said it had a loss of 17 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to less than 1 cent on a per-share basis.

The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 7 cents per share.

The enterprise software company posted revenue of $75 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in November, Zuora expects its results to range from a loss of 5 cents per share to a loss of 4 cents per share.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $73 million to $75 million for the fiscal third quarter.

Zuora shares have increased 13% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $16.16, a climb of 12% in the last 12 months.
