Ams AG said Wednesday that it has placed roughly 15 million shares related to its rights issue with investors, increasing the take-up of offered shares to 70%.
The Austrian sensor maker said 15,023,697 shares were sold to investors at a price of 9.20 Swiss francs ($9.55) per share, the same issue price as the rights issue.
On Tuesday, the company had said the exercise period for its rights issue was completed on March 30 and 62% of the 189,869,454 shares offered overall were subscribed.
"The remaining 57,394,245 shares, or 30%, will be taken up by the syndicate banks according to their underwriting quota," it said.
Ams planned to raise around CHF1.75 billion to partially refinance the acquisition of German lightening technology company Osram Licht AG.
