JAC new product release conference in Chengdu Motor Show 2020

On July 24, JAC new product release conference was grandly held at the 2020 Chengdu Auto Show, the all-new medium size SUV X8 made its debut. An Jin, Party Secretary and Chairman of JAC Group, She Cairong, Deputy General Manager of JAC group, Wang Dongsheng, Deputy Party Secretary of JAC Group, and Zhang Wengen, Deputy Chief Economist of of JAC group and General Manager of JAC Passenger Vehicle Marketing Company, jointly unveiled the X8 model. Zhang Wengen delivered speeches and mentioned that all all-new models under Jiayue brands are coming soon and these models are also produced in the same factory of JAC-VW.

New medium size SUV X8 made its debut

JAC is putting more resources into intelligent electric vehicles to empower its own reform. It upholds technology innovation and down-to-earth attitude and aims to deliver more reliable, safer and more comfortable products to its global users. JAC sets up a one-thousand engineer work team and carries out long term dynamic product bench marking,leveraging the national level industrial strength. For connectivity system, JAC has developed its second generation autonomous driving system and can be tested in public roads. This system offers nine intelligent service and can software OTA upgrade, able to provide customized services to its customers. For New energy vehicle, JAC has developed its own internationally advanced and domestically leading electric vehicle platform after 14 yeas' persistent R&D. Our latest technological achievement is Honeycomb cell, which use extended packaging UE technology to seal the Cylindrical cells in units and therefor isolate cells from each other thermally and electrically and prevent vehicles from getting on fire. It's a safer product for customers. The all-electric high performance Coupe iC5 can run 530km per charge under NEDC testing standard and 0-100km acceleration only takes 7.6s. iC5 is also equipped with OTA, intelligent wristband, auto window closure in raining weather and L2 driving assistance system. It it a more intelligent car that can understand you in a better way. JAC is committed to large scale application of NEV and the strategic electrification transform. It has totally sold more than 160 thousands of NEV with total running mileage of 3.6 billion kilometers.

JAC safeguards its customers' health by upgrading its health technological brand. JAC created the J-Health technological brand back to year 2016 for better car life experience. It has been upgrading 'VOC laddering compliance' key technology and select environmentally friendly trimming materials by the 'Gold nose'team. After long term practices, the JAC Refine S3 model was awarded the'China Car health Index (C-AHI) ' full mark prize in July 2017. It was the only model that awarded five stars recommendation in EMR testing. The VOC ad VOI testing result was also among the tops. For fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, JAC upgrades J-Health system and can realize strong filtering, advanced oxidation, air cleaning and all round sterilization and disinfection functions. These functions are equipped with most of JAC passenger cars. Jiayue A5 Coupe was recognized by Chinese Automotive Technology & Research Centre for 5A level 'CN95 intelligent heath car' .The A5 Coupe can actively carry out disinfection in a dynamic way and it's favored by our customers.

Cooperation for better development and strategic transformation

The world economy is highly integrated and for the auto industry, the whole industrial chain is depended on each other. The COVID-19 pandemic is yet under control and the world economy still faces huge uncertainty. This time calls for deeper cooperation and mutual benefit.

JAC sets a new example for joint venture cooperation model. As the first NEV joint venture project, JAC-VW breaks up the traditional joint venture model. Based on China and other markets, both parties will work together to set up an independent, complete and globally leading NEV R&D mechanism and create a new international NEV brand.

In April 2018, JAC-VW released all new electric vehicle brand---Si'hao. Leveraging VW's 30 years experience in China and JAC's technology strength, the birth of this joint venture is a milestone event in the global auto industry. The first model SOL E20X redefines intelligent electric car by its high VW quality standard and European design.

JAC is committed for high quality product. It introduces German VDA quality control system and invest 200 million RMB for production line upgrade. The full application of VW quality tools ushers in a new era of JAC 3.0 passenger car time. The Coupe A5, SUV X7, X4 and all new medium size SUV were all produced on the same production line of JAC-VW, leveraging the strength of VW quality standard and reconditioned by VW experts for high quality.

Deepen cooperation and explore new ownership reform model. On 29 May, JAC deepened its cooperation with VW and explore new state-owned enterprise ownership reform model. This is the very first time a state-owned Chinese auto brand introduces word class player go in its reform. On 11th June, JAC signed framework agreement with VW. According to he agreement, VW will introduce 4-5 VW brand products go in the joint venture based on its all-electric platform. VW will establish a NEV production base in Anhui Province and NEV R and D center is also based in Hefei. Provided Chinese law and government regulation permit, VW will prioritize the joint venture to produce VW B and C class hybrid and ICE models as well as VW commercial vehicles. This teamwork on the electric platform and electrification will empower JAC to achieve its own vision of 'NEV sales takes up 30% of all ales by 2025'. JAC and VW will strengthen cooperation in areas including electrification, connectivity, car-sharing, autonomous driving and lead the development of mobility of the time.
