"Cat Mansion" - E.ON presents feline Smart Home Solutions
  • Cats use energy independently on International Cat Day
  • Video creates a new perspective on smart energy at home
  • Spoiler: There's also something for dog lovers

With "Cat Mansion", the energy company E.ON has launched a new video highlighting smart home solutions right in time for International Cat Day. Cats are in control of their environment and are able to provide for themselves, including home security, automatic food preparation, playtime & electronic kitten care. Here is the link to the video, which will be posted at 7:00 a.m. on August 8th: https://youtu.be/mgrZd73TpoQ

What's really unique: the video features a new look into the world of smart home energy solutions and shows how easy they are to use in any home. No matter in which room you are in the house, there are solutions that can help make your life easier and which can potentially produce energy savings to the entire household.

The short movie was filmed on site at the Münchner Bavaria Film Studios by the Darmstadt production company videoboost and animal handlers, tierfilmhof. The film will be broadcast across the E.ON social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. A special Instagram Story will also be available for a short time on https://www.instagram.com/e.on_se/.

"We love to experiment with new methods of communication, and when we thought about presenting our smart home solutions in a fun new way, we came quickly to the idea of letting the cats take control. Cat content is still king, and what better time to launch this video than on International Cat Day in August", says Carsten Thomsen-Bendixen, Head of Stakeholder Communications and Corporate Spokesman.

"Content videos on social media are becoming more and more important, they build trust and help customers identify more and more with businesses. That's why we are so happy that we had the opportunity to implement this project for E.ON. Many of our talents were involved in the production, all of whom have done their part to bring about this cool cat content. This confirms that our digital production processes are just the thing to benefit our customers", says Moritz Mollenkopf, COO from videoboost.
