FirstGroup : Transfer to Greyhound for First Bus director

• Bristol based Director of Financial Operations, Libby Scourse, to move to Dallas, USA, for new position this summer

Libby Scourse, Director of Financial Operations at First Bus, is set to take up the career opportunity of a lifetime after been appointed Controller at Greyhound, the iconic coach provider in the United States.

Libby will move to Dallas, the home of Greyhound's headquarters, at the end of July with her family, husband Allan and 2-year-old daughter Cora.

Libby, who has lived in North Bristol for the last ten years, said: 'I'm delighted to have the opportunity of furthering my career in the US with Greyhound. Having met my new colleagues in person a few weeks ago when I was in Dallas for an interview, I know I'm joining a first rate team who are just as passionate about delivering sustainable, customer focused services as we are across First Bus in the UK. There are lots of synergies between the two companies and I'm really looking forward to starting my new role.'

She continued: 'As a family, we've always been keen to live abroad and having visited the States on a number of occasions, we're really excited about the prospect. Dallas is an exciting city with lots to do and see - the weather too is a little better than what we're used to in the UK. We will be sad to say goodbye to family, friends and colleagues, but we're relishing the opportunity and looking forward to making the most of our time in the US.'

Both First Bus and Greyhound are owned by FirstGroup, a leading transport provider in the UK and North America. Libby's transfer forms part of FirstGroup's aim to share talent and ideas across its divisions and provide stretching development opportunities for its best people.
