SAN MATEO, Calif. (AP) _ GoPro Inc. (GPRO) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $95.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the San Mateo, California-based company said it had profit of 65 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 70 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 79 cents per share.

The action video camera maker posted revenue of $528.3 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $570.6 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $14.6 million, or 10 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $1.19 billion.

In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $4.36. A year ago, they were trading at $5.11.
