Monthly Update: Number of online reservations on Tabelog 1.36 million seats were booked in September 2017

Tabelog (http://tabelog.com), a restaurant discovery and reservation site operated by Kakaku.com, Inc. (TSE code: 2371), is pleased to announce that 1.36 million seats were booked through its site during the month of September 2017.

In September 2017, Tabelog started its limited time T-Point campaign for online reservations, made improvements to the screen layout out and added coupons for course menu reservations, thereby enhancing Tabelog's many features and contributing to the continued popularity of the site's online reservation service. In addition, the total number of restaurants with contracts making them eligible for awarding users with T-Points for online reservation on Tabelog has exceeded 10,000 in October.

Tabelog's online reservation service allows users to check for seat availability and make reservations at restaurants 24/7, via their smartphones or other digital devices. The site offers added features for LINE users, such as auto-fill for contact information or reservation notifications to a user's LINE account. Being able to earn as well as use T-Points when making online reservations is another popular feature, which is driving continuous growth in user numbers.

As online reservations are increasingly popular among consumers, many restaurants are recognizing their importance for attracting guests. Tabelog will continue to contribute to expanding the market for online reservations, by improving the usability and coverage of its service, as well as providing restaurants with tools like the reservation management App Yoyaku Note which is directly linked with Tabelog and its over 100 million monthly users.

Tabelog will continue to address both the users' as well as the restaurants' needs and

improve the usability of its services.

Note: the number of online reservations stated here is the total of real time reservations and request reservations (i.e. reservations which are confirmed by the restaurant separately). Now, the number of online reservations announced in September's update (1.31 million) only included real time reservations. The actual number of online reservations for August, including requests was 1.35 million.
