Verego SRS Certification Expanded to All Global Sites
Teleperformance achieved full certification, with honors in all five areas of the Verego SRS: leadership, ethics, people, community and environment. Each of the certifications measures a unique set of requirements. The leadership certification recognizes commitment to social responsibility with its focus on customers and the organization's ability to communicate commitment to key stakeholders; ethics highlights the organization's conduct and the processes it uses to procure goods and services, and the people certification illustrates protection of human rights and how the company handles critical employment. The community certification measures the organization's engagement and investment in the local districts in which it operates; and environment focuses on the organization's ability to effectively improve their impact on the world.
In 2014, 17 of Teleperformance's operations worldwide received full certification in all five areas of the Verego Social Responsibility Standard (SRS). To achieve the full worldwide Enterprise-Wide Certification, 26 sites across all world regions were selected to be included in the Enterprise- Wide assessment based on a randomized sampling technique that prioritized the size of the site, geographical risk, and other factors into the site selection process. Even with this increased site validation requirement, Teleperformance still earned the greatest possible achievement within SRS Certification: Enterprise-Wide Certification in all five areas of the Verego SRS Standard.
An Industry Benchmarking Analysis that is included as part of the SRS Certification Assessment process indicates that Teleperformance's scores in the AREAs of Ethics and People are amongst the highest within their industry. Teleperformance was able to achieve many of its outstanding scores by presenting evidence of structured approaches that are not only considered best practices, but are also fully transparent to all stakeholders, including their 2015 UNGC Communication of Progress Report and their recently released Human Rights Statement, which are both available online.
"Over the last few years, it has been a pleasure to watch Teleperformance continue to improve and expand upon new and existing practices to become industry leaders in the world of Corporate Responsibility," said Carole Kerrey, Senior Verego Assessment Provider. "The 2015 SRS Re-Certification Assessment marked Teleperformance's achievement of Full Certification Awards in all 5 AREAs
(Leadership, Ethics, People, Community, and Environment) at an Enterprise- Wide Level, indicating these leading practices are implemented across the organization's global sites."
"Teleperformance strives to make a positive impact on people's lives not only with job creation, but also with our three main social programs: Citizen of the World, Citizen of the Planet and the Global Compact," said Paulo César Salles Vasques, Worldwide Chief Executive Officer, Teleperformance Group. "Our Verego SRS certifications emphasize our continued work for the protection of the environment as well as our commitment to human rights, corporate citizenship and anti-corruption principles across our Group. I am proud of our entire team because this accomplishment was not easy based on our truly global footprint and because it is in harmony and alignment with our people strategy."
