Adnan Munkarah

Dr. Adnan Munkarah is an Advisor at CIG Venture Management LLC.
He is a board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist, is a clinical professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University in Michigan.
In addition to his clinical and academic achievements, he has held a number of administrative leadership positions.
He was appointed director of the division of Gynecologic Oncology at Wayne State University in 2001 and the leader of the multidisciplinary team in Gynecologic Oncology at the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
He has also led the Gynecologic Oncology Division at Oakwood Medical Center for 7 years.
Two years ago, he was recruited to head and rebuild the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, one of the largest tertiary care centers in the Middle East region.
Dr. Munkarah has served on many national committees and is a member of many professional societies including the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association of Cancer Research and American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Munkarah pursued his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University.
He subsequently completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas.
