Degussa AG is the world's third largest producer of precious metals. The company operates three divisions; precious metals and banking, which is involved in precious metals trading, production of precious metals and the manufacture of precious metal compounds and products in addition to operating its own bank, 'Degussa Bank', which is a universal bank providing traditional banking services. Chemical products is the second division and is involved in manufacturing fine and special chemicals, rubbers, pigments and chemical catalysts. The third and final division, health and nutrition is involved in manufacturing pharmaceuticals, dental chemicals and fodder additives. The company has subsidiaries in Germany, other European countries, USA, Brazil, Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
