Mr. McFarlane has more than a decade of experience as a legal professional in the corporate and private sectors.
He currently serves as Legal Director for Accelerator, where he provides comprehensive, high-quality legal and compliance support across the firm’s investment portfolio.
Mr. McFarlane has played a key role in numerous growth capital and private equity financings as well as mergers and acquisitions.
He is responsible for delivering creative legal solutions to achieve the firm’s goals and navigating the complex legal issues faced by emerging biotech companies.
Prior to joining Accelerator in 2019 as the firm’s in-house paralegal specialist, Mr. McFarlane worked for several corporations and prestigious law firms throughout the pacific northwest participating in sophisticated transactions, securities administration, general and commercial litigation, property management, licensing, and corporate compliance matters.
In his capacity, Mr. McFarlane worked closely with counsel on a host of publicly traded and privately held corporations, including those in the real estate, life science, and technology industries.
Mr. McFarlane is a certified paralegal and received his Associate of Applied Sciences from Pioneer Pacific College with an emphasis on legal studies.
He recently completed the VC University course in venture finance presented by UC Berkely, NVCA, and Venture Forward.
Mr. McFarlane is a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA).
