Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson has been a specialist portfolio manager for a number of years.
Prior to this he specialised in larger transactions.
He was one of the founding directors of the SMi team, which focuses on smaller minority interest asset management.
He also advises the German Portfolio Team, which was formed in 2004 to manage the majority of the German portfolio assets.
Michael Robinson's track record in asset management includes the sale of well over 100 assets over the years.
Michael Robinson was a member nominated trustee of the 3i Pension Fund for 6 years until June 2006 and is currently a member of the 3i Group Corporate Responsibility Committee.
Michael Robinsonjoined 3i in 1983 in Birmingham and following a short spell in London moved to Bristol in 1986.
He has been a director since 1999.
He started his career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now part of PwC) before joining Smith Keen Cutler Stockbrokers (now part of HSBC Stockbrokers) as a corporate finance and research analyst.
He has a degree in Administrative Sciences (business studies) from the University of Aston in Birmingham and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA).
