Dr. Thomas Renner is head of the consortium for electrochemical industry, the central research facility of Wacker Chemie AG, headquartered in Munich.
In this function, he is responsible for the development of new business areas and their implementation in the WACKER Group.
Innovation is his motivation.
He studied chemistry in Mainz and joined the WACKER Group almost 20 years ago after working at the analytical-biological research laboratory in Munich and at Fraunhofer Management GmbH.
There he trained as a professional representative before the European Patent Office and then headed the patent department of Siltronic AG.
In 2013, he moved to his current position in Corporate Research and Development.
