Hasso Plattner Ventures Management GmbH (HPV) is an independent venture capital firm established in 2005 by Hasso Plattner. HPV is headquartered in Potsdam in Land Brandenburg in the east of Germany. In addition to Hasso Plattner, the original investors included the government-funded InvestitionsBank of Brandenburg and the US-based technology venture capital firm CMEA Ventures. Later investors include high-net worth private individuals from the IT community. HPV manages a series on venture capital funds. The firm leverages their close proximity with the Hasso Plattner Institute for Software Systems Engineering, founded in 1998 and affiliated to the University of Potsdam.
