DIA Distribuidora Internacional de Alimentacion : Group appoints Basola Vallés to the Board of Directors as an Independent Director

The Board of Directors of DIA Group has approved the appointment of Basola Vallés, as an Independent Director. The Board has also approved the departure of Michael Casey as Director. Therefore, the Company's highest governing body will be made up of by seven members, of which fourare Independent, two Directorsand one Executive Director. Vallés provides strategic perspective from the technological arena thanks to her extensive experience in the digital and retail sector.

Vallés has over 25 years' experience working with multinational companies wheres he has held various positions in firms with a technological profile, retail and focus on customer service. Currently, she is the CEO of entradas.com, a position she has held since 2015. In addition, she is a member of the Advisory Board of ING Spain, Non-Executive director of Aegon Spain and an Advisor for innovation at ProsegurCash.
