AppLovin appointed Giovanni Ge as its next chief technology officer and Craig Billings as independent chair of the board.

The advertising company said Tuesday that making Billings chair would allow Chief Executive Officer Adam Foroughi to focus on strategic execution while remaining on the board. Billings has served as lead independent director since the company's initial public offering.

Ge, who currently serves as chief product and engineering officer, will succeed Basil Shikin, who is transitioning on July 1 to the role of distinguished engineer.

AppLovin also said Corina Cacovean would be the next chief legal officer. Cacovean, currently deputy general counsel, privacy, litigation & regulatory, will succeed Victoria Valenzeula, who is retiring Aug. 1.

Valenzuela will be nominated to the board of directors at the upcoming shareholder meeting. Board member Alyssa Harvey Dawson will not stand for reelection, AppLovin said.
