ARS Pharmaceuticals received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to remove the age requirement for its neffy nasal spray to treat allergic reactions.
Children were previously required to be at least four years old to receive the 1 milligram dose of the spray.
All children and adults who weigh at least 33 pounds will now be able to use it.
"Caregivers often face tremendous fear administering needle-based treatment options but now, neffy can be used safely in our most vulnerable young patients," said Chief Executive Richard Lowenthal.
