Italgas completed the acquisition of 2i Rete Gas in April, establishing itself as the leading gas distribution operator in Europe.
Paolo Gallo is a businessperson who has been the head of 7 different companies. Presently, he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer, Director & GM at Italgas SpA and Chairman at Italgas Reti SpA (a subsidiary of Italgas SpA). He is also on the board of Errenergia SRL.
He previously occupied the position of Chief Executive Officer & Director at Grandi Stazioni Retail SpA, CEO, Director, Head-Legal & Corporate Affairs at Grandi Stazioni SpA, CEO, General Manager & Executive Director at Acea SpA, General Director at Edipower SpA, Chief Executive Officer for Fiat Energia SRL and Director-Strategy & Innovation at Edison SpA.
Paolo Gallo received an undergraduate degree from Politecnico di Torino and an MBA from the University of Turin.
Italgas S.p.A. specializes in the distribution of natural gas. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- distribution of natural gas (91.9%): 11,409 million m3 distributed in 2025. At the end of 2025, the group operated a distribution network of 156,655 km;
