1792 Wealth Advisors (1792), is adding depth to its management team with three industry veterans. The Raymond James-backed advisory platform is bringing on William (Bill) Shinners, Michael Vaccaro and Lisa Kain to support business development, operations and advisor recruitment at the firm.

The collective joins at a critical juncture for the firm as it focuses on expanding its footprint in northern New Jersey. Shinners started his career and spent more than 30 years at Morgan Stanley, where he was a managing director and complex manager leading the fourth largest complex at the company. After retiring in 2017, Shinners wanted to rejoin the industry and started Montgomery Wealth Management in 2019. After seeing the elevated capabilities and back-end support that 1792 and Raymond James offers he made the decision to join forces with 1792, where he will become the Director of Business Development.

“I worked with Bill for 10 years before making the move towards independence and starting 1792, so I knew he and his team would be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow in size and scale,” says Bob Milligan, managing partner and founder of 1792 Wealth Advisors. “His experience on a management level elevates our team’s capabilities and will allow us to work with more advisors to have an unmatched experience as they make the move to independence with 1792.”

With more than 20 years in the industry, Kain will be central to advisor recruitment and help with the transition and operational aspect when advisors join the firm. Additionally, Vaccaro has been in financial services for more than 10 years with experience in risk and compliance, an area he will spearhead at 1792. Both worked with Shinners at Morgan Stanley and Montgomery Wealth Management.

“More advisors are looking to go independent everyday. The culture, team and infrastructure Bob has built over the last four years is difficult to replicate and drew me to come on board,” explains Shinners. “The Raymond James platform, technology and workflow is top of the line, and similar to what many wirehouse advisors may be used to, which allows for a seamless transition to the firm.”

On the heels of two advisors joining the firm in the first half of 2021, the addition of this management team builds on the momentum for growth through the second half of this year and into 2022.
