(BMV: GFINTERO) ("Grupo Financiero Interacciones" or "GFI"), the largest specialized financial group in Mexico providing financing, risk management and financial advisory services mainly to the Mexican public sector, today announced that Carlos Rojo Macedo has been appointed by GFI's board of directors to lead the firm as CEO, replacing Mr. Hank Gonzalez who is stepping down from this position to accept the nomination made by a group of Banorte´s shareholders to join the board of this institution. Mr. Rojo, has played an integral role in the development and implementation of GFI's strategy and business model since the year 2000 in different positions including: CEO of Banco Interacciones, GFI's bank subsidiary, CEO and COO of Grupo Financiero Interacciones and Executive CEO of Grupo Financiero Interacciones, managing all of GFI's business units.

Mr. Hank Gonzalez commented, with this decision, he has concluded a professional career of more than 20 years at GFI achieving outstanding results in terms of growth and profitability, including a very successful public offering in October 2013 which consolidated GFI's institutionalization efforts. Currently, GFI is the largest specialized financial group in Mexico with a solid and committed management team, maintaining the highest standards in corporate governance. Mr. Hank Gonzalez also resigned to his role as a member of GFI's Board of Directors, to the Presidency of the Board of Banco Interacciones and to that of Interacciones Casa de Bolsa.

Mr. Carlos Hank Rhon, President of the Board of GFI since its inception, maintains his position and assumes once again the role of president of the Board of Banco Interacciones and Interacciones Casa de Bolsa, GFI's brokerage subsidiary.

The decision of GFI's board of directors supports the continuity of a unique and specialized business model that was driven by Carlos Hank Gonzalez, Mr. Carlos Rojo Macedo and a group of executives who have multiplied several times income, assets, portfolio, net income and valuation since the implementation of this business model in the year 2000.
