Shares of energy companies rallied as investors bet that a weak April jobs report would discourage the Federal Reserve from removing stimulus.

The U.S. added 266,000 jobs to payrolls in April, short of economists' expectations for roughly one million new jobs, according to the Labor Department.

Oil futures ticked up, closing just below $65 a barrel and up 2% on the week amid optimism about the summer driving season.
