Hermès, Deere, Allianz, Danone, Sika, ENI, NatWest, Swiss Re, Segro, Renault, BB Biotech, BE Semiconductor are among companies reporting their results today.

 

  • Allianz: 2020 results are better than expected. The range of results expected this year shows a certain prudence on the part of the insurer.
  • BE Semiconductor: net profit increased by 63% to €132.3m, thanks in particular to a 21.7% acceleration in sales in 2020. A dividend of €1.70 will be proposed. Q1 revenues are expected to grow by 30-40% compared to Q4 2020.
  • ENI: the transalpine oil group finally made a profit of €660m in Q4, while the market feared a loss.
  • Moncler: Revenues are better than expected in Q4, allowing the resumption of dividend payments.
  • NatWest: Q4 results are marginally better than expected. The bank confirmed its plan to return very much from Ireland.
  • Sika: 2020 results are close to expectations in terms of Ebit is significantly higher than the level of net profit. A dividend of CHF 2.50 is proposed. This year, revenues are expected to grow by 6-8% and the Ebit margin to rise to 15%.
  • Swiss Re: the reinsurer has suffered a severe loss of 878 M$ in 2020 due to the cost of the pandemic. This will not prevent the company from paying a stable dividend of 5.90 CHF per share.
  • U.S. biotech company Novavax has signed a memorandum of understanding with the vaccine alliance, Gavi, for the supply of 1.1 billion doses of coronavirus vaccine.
  • International Business Machines is considering divesting IBM Watson Health, or merging it with a SPAC.
  • Thomas Hasler will take over from Paul Schuler at the helm of Sika.
  • Leonardo hopes to raise around €2.1 billion with DRS's IPO.
  • Fujifilm will finalize the acquisition of Hitachi's medical imaging subsidiary on March 31.
  • BAE Systems is awarded a $50 million contract for armored vehicles by the Norwegian authorities.
