In terms of traffic figures, the company reported that pre-Covid levels have been exceeded with about 10 million passengers passing through Bologna Marconi Airport in 2023. The airport is confirmed to be the seventh busiest in Italy in terms of passengers and the third busiest in the cargo sector.

"We can define 2023 as the year of the definitive resumption of activities, more than a year ahead of forecasts, despite a global scenario characterized by deep uncertainty and volatility. In this context, we have been able to manage the full return of traffic at our airport, albeit in a context characterized by the presence of several construction sites, which will also accompany us in the coming years and which are aimed at further improving, in the short and long term, our infrastructure and, consequently, the travel experience," commented Nazareno Ventola, managing director and general manager of Aeroporto Guglielmo Marconi di Bologna.

"We will therefore continue in 2024 and in the coming years on the path of improving our infrastructure in a process of sustainable growth."

Aeroporto Guglielmo Marconi Di Bologna on Thursday closed in the red by 0.35 to EUR7.90 per share.
