No âmbito do Processo de Recuperação Judicial do Grupo Renova ("Renova"), o Juiz da 2ª Vara de Falências e Recuperações Judiciais do Fórum Central da Comarca de São Paulo, homologou o processo competitivo da Unidade Produtiva Isolada Cordilheira dos Ventos ("UPI Cordilheira dos Ventos"), no qual a AES GF1 Holding S.A., subsidiária integral da Companhia, foi a única participante, declarando-a como vencedora do leilão pelo valor de R$ 42 milhões. O fechamento da transação está sujeito ao preenchimento de condições precedentes.
A UPI Cordilheira dos Ventos é constituída por parte dos projetos Facheiro II, Facheiro III e Labocó, localizados no Estado do Rio Grande do Norte, próximo ao Complexo Cajuína e com capacidade de desenvolvimento eólico de até 305MW.
A AES Brasil reforça sua estratégia de crescimento e diversificação de portfólio da Companhia por meio de aquisições e desenvolvimento de projetos de fontes complementares à hídrica com retornos consistentes, visando a criação de valor para os acionistas.
A Companhia manterá o mercado e seus acionistas oportuna e adequadamente informados sobre os fatos subsequentes.

AES Brasil Energia S.A. ("AES Brasil" or "Company") (B3: AESB3), in compliance with Article 157, Paragraph 4 of Federal Law 6,404, of November 15, 1976, as amended ("Brazilian Corporation Law") and in the Resolution of the Brazilian Securities Commission ("CVM") No. 44, of August 23, 2021, as amended ("CVM Resolution 44"), informs its shareholders and the market in general that:
Within the scope of the Judicial Reorganization Process of the Renova Group ("Renova"), the Judge of the 2nd Court of Bankruptcy and Judicial Reorganizations of the Central Forum of the District of São Paulo, approved the competitive process of the Isolated Productive Unit called Cordilheira dos Ventos ("UPI Cordilheira dos Ventos"), in which AES GF1 Holding S.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, was the only participant, declaring it the winner of the auction for the amount of R$ 42 million. The closing of the transaction is subject to the fulfillment of precedent conditions.
The UPI Cordilheira dos Ventos consists of part of the Facheiro II, Facheiro III and Labocó projects, located in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, close to the Cajuína Wind Complex and with a wind power development capacity of up to 305 MW.
AES Brasil reinforces its portfolio growth and diversification strategy through the development of projects from renewable sources and complementary to hydro sources, with long-term contracts and solid returns, aimed at creating value for its shareholders.
