(Alliance News) - Agronomics Ltd on Monday said its portfolio company BlueNalu Inc has raised USD33.5 million from new and existing customers in a series B financing round.

Agronomics is an Isle of Man-based venture capital firm, with investments in the cellular agriculture field.

The financing will enable the next stage of BlueNalu's growth and its continued progress towards "scaling and commericializing healthy and sustainable seafood in the US and around the world."

Agronomics has invested USD8 million across BlueNalu's seed and series A financings and a pre-series B convertible promissory note.

Agronomics now holds an equity stake in BlueNalu of 5.12% on a fully diluted basis.

Agronomics shares were flat at 9.70 pence each on Monday morning in London.
