The board of directors of AK Medical Holdings Limited announced that the Group obtained the certification for the Metal Additive Manufacturing Thoracolumbar Fusion Matching Prosthesis System Class III medical devices approved by the National Medical Products Administration ("NMPA") of the People's Republic of China (the "PRC") on 21 April 2023. Thoracolumbar vertebral tumors, severe comminuted fractures, and certain infectious diseases such as tuberculosis often cause defects in the vertebral body. Bone defects caused by these factors are difficult to repair by the body's own healing ability, especially for long segmental bone defects which can easily cause serious complications such as vertebral deformity and dysfunction, not only reducing the patient's quality of life, but even has the risk of paralysis and even death.

The metal additive manufacturing thoracolumbar fusion-matching prosthesis system consists of a thoracolumbar fusion- matching prosthesis, component fasteners and pedicle screws. After 7 years of research and exploration with clinicians, the Company established the R-Truss structural theory of laminectomy reconstruction. Through the "truss" structural design of spinal stability reconstruction, the thoracolumbar fusion- matching prosthesis can achieve a stable lateral connection with the posterior nail bar system, thus forming an overall stable "truss" structure, and the stability and fusion rate of the prosthesis system has been significantly improved.

In recent years, the Group has continued to innovate in 3D printing customized ICOS services and products. From the obtaining of the licenses for the metal 3D printing pelvic defect matching prosthesis and metal 3D printing customized cervical fusion body in 2020 to the launch of personalized and customized products represented by TCBridge and thoracolumbar fusion-matching prosthesis in 2023, the ICOS orthopedic customization platform has continued to improve and becoming mature, and the Group's 3D printing solutions have been further enriched.
