Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI), one of the world's leading active asset managers, has announced the appointment of Johann Bey as Head of Allianz Insurance Asset Management.

Heading a team of a dozen people based in Paris, Frankfurt and Munich, he will be in charge of the relationship with Allianz for the insurance portfolios. . Johann will also co-lead the insurance ecosystem.

He will report to Christian Finckh, Global Head of Allianz Business Development.

Johann Bey, 38, has over 15 years of investment experience. He started his career at Deloitte, as an auditor specialising in investment funds and reinsurance. He then joined the Allianz Group in 2011 as Investment Manager in Stuttgart (until 2015) and then in Paris, before becoming Head of Investment Management (until 2020) at Allianz Investment Management Paris. He joined Allianz Trade in 2020 as Group CIO.

Johann holds a Master's degree in Management from the University of Strasbourg. He also holds an MBA from the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin and is a CFA Charterholder.

He succeeds Edouard Jozan, who became Head of European Distribution for AllianzGI in December 2022.
