Alpen Co.,Ltd. (TSE:3028) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 130,000 shares, representing 0.34% of its total shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares), for a total of ¥325 million. The purpose of repurchase program is to improve the capital efficiency and enhance shareholder returns.
The repurchase program is valid till February 16, 2023. As of December 31, 2022, the company had 38,663,334 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and had 224,666 shares in treasury.
Alpen Co.,Ltd. is engaged in manufacturing and sales of sports products. The retail business is engaged in sales of winter products, including ski equipment and snowboarding equipment, sales of golf products, as well as general sports products, including training and fitness equipment, camping and tracking equipment, casual wear, marine goods, tennis and table tennis rackets, and items for baseball and soccer. The other business provides credit card services and operation of fitness clubs, ski and golf courses.
