Alpen Co.,Ltd. (TSE:3028) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 138,000 shares, representing 0.36% of its issued share capital (excluding treasury stock), for ¥286.21 million. The shares will be repurchased at a price of ¥2,074 per share.
The purpose of the program is to improve capital efficiency and enhance shareholder returns. The program will expire on November 9, 2022. As of June 30, 2022, the company had 38,791,852 shares in issue (excluding treasury stock) and 96,148 shares in treasury.
Alpen Co.,Ltd. is engaged in manufacturing and sales of sports products. The retail business is engaged in sales of winter products, including ski equipment and snowboarding equipment, sales of golf products, as well as general sports products, including training and fitness equipment, camping and tracking equipment, casual wear, marine goods, tennis and table tennis rackets, and items for baseball and soccer. The other business provides credit card services and operation of fitness clubs, ski and golf courses.
