NEW YORK (AP) _ Ambac Financial Group Inc. (AMBC) on Monday reported a loss of $14 million in its fourth quarter.
The New York-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 8 cents per share.
The bond insurer posted revenue of $88 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $437 million, or $9.47 per share. Revenue was reported as $156 million.
Ambac shares have increased 13% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $17.39, a decline of 13% in the last 12 months.
