WILMINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $75.7 million.

On a per-share basis, the Wilmington, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 16 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.73 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.69 per share.

The semiconductor maker posted revenue of $2.34 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.3 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $1.39 billion, or $3.46 per share. Revenue was reported as $7.32 billion.

For the current quarter ending in February, Analog Devices expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.68 to $1.88. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecast adjusted earnings per share of $1.68.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $2.5 billion to $2.7 billion for the fiscal first quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $2.48 billion.

Analog Devices shares have climbed 26% since the beginning of the year, while the S&P's 500 index has risen 25%. The stock has increased 38% in the last 12 months.
