AutoWallis publishes its 2022 Sustainability Report

Budapest, October 9, 2023 - AutoWallis has published its Sustainability Report on the year 2022, which shows that only has the company once again outperformed the targets it had set, it has continued developing the measurability and assessment of its sustainability performance, including launching a number of related new projects, such as planning to prepare for EU Taxonomy reporting.

This is the second time AutoWallis Plc., listed in the Prime Market of the Budapest Stock Exchange, has published a Sustainability Report; among others, it shows the results the automotive company registered on the Hungarian stock exchange achieved in 2022 in the area of developing sustainable operations. In an external environment fraught with challenges, AutoWallis has once again outperformed its set goals and has closed yet another record year while also showing its commitment to even more sustainable operations by continuing the development of the measuring and assessment of its sustainability performance. It has also launched new sustainability projects and plans to launch more in the future, such as developing its data collection processes and preparing for EU Taxonomy reporting.

According to AutoWallis's second Sustainability Report, 2022 included completing its energy audit as well as performing a comprehensive review of its waste management processes in the interest of implementing robust key measures in developing the effectiveness of its energy and waste management. Additionally, the Group has also taken steps to increase digitalization and online sales, expand its service and brand portfolios, develop increasingly sustainable waste management, and improve its energy efficiency, including increasing the use of renewable energy, all with an eye on its operations. Regarding the Report, AutoWallis Plc. Investor Relations & ESG Director Gábor Székely explained that the company can only realize its long-term economic goals by taking sustainability into account, which is why plans include a higher degree of digitalization and introducing the ESG function to the strategic cycle. He also added that plans for 2023 include a comprehensive assessment and presentation of AutoWallis's major sustainability effects and other indirect (Scope 3) CO2 emissions, with the company presenting the environmental and societal aspects of the acquisition of the environmentally conscious car-sharing service Share Now, announced this year.
