Bâloise : Baloise unveils the largest Advent calendar in Basel

A very special Christmas event will take place when Baloise unveils the largest Advent calendar in Basel on 1 December.

Over the festive season, the western facade of the new Baloise Group headquarters will be adorned with 24 Christmas trees, inviting people to look and linger in Baloise Park. Baloise will also be running a competition and giving away 24 Christmas vouchers worth CHF 150 each for the plant nursery of the Lehrbetriebe beider Basel (LBB) foundation.

From 1 December, the western facade of the new Baloise Group headquarters will be transformed into the largest Advent calendar in Basel. A total of 24 windows, one for each day of Advent, will feature a Christmas tree decorated in a different way. '2020 has presented major challenges to society, our partners and our customers, and to Baloise itself. That is why we want our Christmas decorations to transform Baloise Park into a place of joy where people can look, linger and unwind. Baloise and Radio Basilisk giving away 24 Christmas vouchers

Baloise is also launching a daily competition in which a question about the company has to be answered correctly to win one of 24 Christmas vouchers, worth CHF 150 each, for the plant nursery of the Lehrbetriebe beider Basel (LBB) foundation. The competition will be promoted on Radio Basilisk in the 'Basilisk Extra' slot between 4pm and 7pm from Monday to Friday. Applications to take part in the competition can be made at www.basilisk.ch or www.baloise.ch/baum.

To provide the perfect preparation for the competition's questions, Baloise is giving away its anniversary book for free at its reception desk in Baloise Park South from today.

About the Lehrbetriebe beider Basel (LBB) foundation

The decorated trees featured in the Advent calendar are supplied by the plant nursery of the Lehrbetriebe beider Basel (LBB) foundation, which Baloise supports as part of its charitable work. The LBB foundation provides training for young people who have less good training opportunities in the private sector due to learning difficulties and developmental and behavioural problems. Training takes place at the three sites of the LBB foundation - horticulture, engineering or carpentry - and in the foundation's own vocational school with associated inter-company courses. At present, seventy young people aged between 16 and 25, resident in Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft, are completing an apprenticeship at the LBB foundation.
