He reported that drill hole AK23-112 has verified Pod 7 as the second area within ACKIO to host near-surface uranium mineralization. Remarkably, right after penetrating the overburden, AK23-112 encountered mineralized bedrock, yielding a notable grade of 0.67% U3O8 over 2.1 meters.
Additionally, within this drill hole, a significant mineralized intercept was found (0.23% U3O8 over 13.0 meters at 44 meters true vertical depth), which includes a high-grade section of uranium (1.82% U3O8 over 1.0 meter) located within 20 meters of the upper intersection.
Sykes suggested to Proactive that these latest findings indicate the possibility of additional mineralized lenses and structures extending up to the base of the overburden—structures that may have been previously under-evaluated.
