Berry Global Group, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended April 02, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was USD 3,775 million compared to USD 3,370 million a year ago. Net income was USD 205 million compared to USD 181 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.53 compared to USD 1.35 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.5 compared to USD 1.32 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was USD 7,348 million compared to USD 6,506 million a year ago. Net income was USD 326 million compared to USD 311 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.42 compared to USD 2.32 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.36 compared to USD 2.28 a year ago.

The Company operates through four segments: Consumer Packaging International, Consumer Packaging North America, Health, Hygiene and Specialties, and Engineered Materials. The Consumer Packaging International segment primarily consists of closures and dispensing systems, pharmaceutical devices and packaging, bottles and canisters, and containers. The Consumer Packaging North America segment primarily consists of containers and pails, foodservice, closures, bottles, prescription vials, and tubes. The Health, Hygiene & Specialties segment primarily consists of healthcare, hygiene, specialties, and tapes. The Engineered Materials segment primarily consists of stretch and shrink films, converter films, institutional can liners, food and consumer films, retail bags, and agriculture films. It is also engaged in offering a full suite of tooling capabilities, including injection, blow, compression, and thermo-forming molds.
