Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd - generic pharmaceutical products and active ingredients' manufacturer - Says Managing Director Nazmul Hassan will step down, effective immediately, after 14 years at the company. This follows an invitation from the Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for Hassan to join her newly formed cabinet as a minister, following the recent Bangladesh parliamentary election on Sunday.

The Company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of generic pharmaceuticals formulation products covering a range of therapeutic categories. It offers products in different dosage forms including solid, liquid, cream and ointment, suppositories, metered dose inhaler, dry powder inhaler, nasal spray, sterile, lyophilized injectable and large volume intravenous fluids. The Company's products include Atrizin, Nomos, Azithrocin, Ceftoril, Bemsivir, Viraflu, Viracin, Rilovir, Flurium, Nervalin, Seropam, Nightus, and others.
