PARIS (Reuters) - France's Livret A bank savings rate - held by millions of customers across the country - will again be raised in August, said Bank of France governor and European Central Bank (ECB) member François Villeroy de Galhau on Wednesday.

"There will be a new increase of the Livret A rate on August the first", he told RTL radio.

That rate had been raised from 0.5% t0 1% at the start of the year, a level that was nevertheless far below current inflation levels.
