Brit : hires Michael Carr to lead new US based Cyber Insurance Team

Brit Ltd ('Brit' or 'the Group') is pleased to announce the launch of a new Cyber and Technology team for Brit Global Specialty USA ('BGSU'), with Michael Carr appointed as Senior Vice President, to lead the offering.

Michael was formerly Technology Practice Leader for Argo Group and has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is a leading practitioner in the cyber space, having spent the last 14 years focused on underwriting cyber and technology business. For the past three years, he also served as a founding co-chair of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society's Cyber Symposium.

The launch of a US based Cyber Team will complement and enhance Brit's current London based platform by offering local expertise and service to meet the growing demand for cyber and technology products in the US SME sector.

Michael will be based in Chicago and will begin writing business in April.
