FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Shares in Cancom climbed to their highest level for a year on Tuesday following the publication of figures. The IT service provider's shares gained 7.5 percent to 31.74 euros. In his first reaction, analyst Armin Kremser from DZ Bank attested the Bavarians a good start to the year.

"Although the slump in Germany continues, the pressure in the public sector to purchase new and more modern hardware is likely to increase further as the demands on IT landscapes - including through AI applications - are growing," explained Kremser. "It also shows that the major acquisition made last year was a sensible step for Cancom, which is already paying off."/ag/jha/
