Care Service Co.,Ltd. (JASDAQ:2425) signed an agreement to acquire home-visit nursing care business from Koiki Social Welfare Association Co., Ltd. for ¥5 million on September 18, 2020. The consideration will be paid in cash. The home-visit nursing care business reported sales of ¥27.6 million and operating income of ¥0.36 million for the fiscal year ended February 2020. The Board of Care Service resolved on the transaction. The transaction is expected to close on November 1, 2020. The impact of this matter on the business results for the fiscal year ending March 2021 is expected to be minor.
Care Service Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the provision of nursing care services. The Company operates in three business segments. The Nursing Care segment is engaged in the provision of daycare services, home visiting and bath services, home visiting and care services, home care support services, nursing care equipment rental services, as well as the sale of certain nursing care equipment. The Angel Care segment is engaged in the provision of washing services, as well as cosmetic, dressing and coffin (CDC) services for the deceased. The Houses with Services for the Elderly segment is engaged in the provision of houses with homecare services for the elderly.
