THE WOODLANDS, Texas (AP) _ ChampionX Corporation (CHX) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $56.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The The Woodlands, Texas-based company said it had net income of 27 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 15 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 17 cents per share.

The oil and gas drilling technology company posted revenue of $818.8 million in the period, exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $804.8 million.
