ENTERING INTO AN EPC CONTRACT FOR THE KARSA 1,500 TONNES/

DAY WASTE POWER STATION PROJECT IN KYIV, UKRAINE BY

SUBSIDIARIES OF THE COMPANY

This announcement is made by China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (the "Company") on a voluntary basis.

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") is pleased to announce that, recently, China Energy Engineering Group International Engineering Co., Ltd.* (中國能源建設集團國際工程有限公

司) and China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd.* (中 國能源建設集團廣東省電力設計研究院有限公司), subsidiaries of the Company, have entered into

an EPC contract for the Karsa 1,500 tonnes/day waste power station project in Kyiv, Ukarine (the "Project").

The Project intends to build a waste incineration power station in Kyiv, Ukraine. The waste power station will handle 1,500 tonnes of garbage per day. The Project comprises the construction of two 750-ton units and the design, procurement, construction and operation and maintenance of the power station. The contract amount of the Project is approximately USD238 million, and the contract term is 36 months.
