Chofu Seisakusho Co., Ltd. (TSE:5946) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 500,000 shares, representing 1.44% of its issued share capital for ¥1,100 million. The purpose of the program is to return profits to shareholders, improve capital efficiency and implement a flexible capital policy in response to future changes in the business environment.
The repurchased shares will be cancelled. The program is valid till February 28, 2023. As of June 30, 2022, the company had 34,739,312 shares issued (excluding treasury stock) and had 1,241,188 shares in treasury.
CHOFU SEISAKUSHO CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture of hot water supply equipment, air conditioning equipment, system devices and solar equipment. Its main products include hot water supply equipment, such as oil-fired water heaters, gas-fired water heaters, electric water heaters, eco water heaters and cogeneration systems; air conditioning equipment, such as air conditioning, hot water systems and oil heating equipment for household uses; system devices, such as system bathrooms, system kitchens and bathroom vanities, as well as solar equipment, including solar power generation devices, solar underfloor ventilation fans and solar water heaters, among others.
