Cisco Systems Inc. said Friday it plans to buy Kenna Security Inc., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based cybersecurity company.

A spokeswoman for Cisco declined to disclose the terms of the transaction. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Cisco's 2021 fiscal year, Cisco said.

Kenna uses machine learning to track and predict cybersecurity threats, according to Cisco. Adding Kenna will improve Cisco customers' threat awareness and improve collaboration between security and information technology teams, Cisco said.
