Effective as of August 1, 2023, Brian D. Schmitt retired from his role as Executive Vice Chairman of Colony Bankcorp, Inc. Mr. Schmitt, who will remain on the Board of Directors of the Company, has served as Executive Vice Chairman of the Company since the merger of the Company and SouthCrest Bank in August 2021. The Employment Agreement between the Company and Mr. Schmitt dated as of July 30, 2021 expired by its terms on August 1, 2023.
Colony Bankcorp, Inc. is a financial service and a bank holding company. The Companyâs business is conducted through its bank subsidiary, Colony Bank (the Bank), a Georgia state-chartered commercial bank. The Bank provides a range of banking services to its retail and commercial customers.
