Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE:STZ) acquired Lingua Franca, LLC from Larry Stone In March 2022. The purchase price included an earn-out based on the performance of the brands. The deal includes the brand, winery, vineyards and inventory. Transactions was almost entirely self-funded through the sale of one of buyers successful venture investments. With the deal, Lingua Franca will become part of Constellation's Aspira Fine Wines & Craft Spirits portfolio. Lingua Franca's winemaking team, led by Thomas Savre and French consultant Dominique Lafon, will remain on board, while Stone will serve as brand ambassador. Zepponi and Co. represented Lingua Franca in the transaction.
