Green and Gold back for 30th season with iconic Edmonton station

For Immediate Release

EDMONTON, May 18, 2023 - Who's ready for some football? The winningest team in Canadian Football League history and Edmonton's number one home for live sports remain teammates, as 630 CHED and the Edmonton Elks announce a new broadcast agreement.

"The Edmonton Elks have such deep ties to the community and 630 CHED," said Corus Radio's John Vos, Regional Program Director. "Our listeners are CFL football fans and love the Elks, and so does the radio station!"

Fans can listen on air or online for full coverage every game day with the best team in the business - veteran play-by-play announcer Morley Scott and analyst Dave Campbell. Back for their 13th year in the broadcast booth, the dynamic duo will be joined by Brenden Escott, who will host a 90-minute pre-and post-game show, in game analyst Blake Dermott and sidelines reporter Dave Boles.

"Elks football and 630 CHED are synonymous with one another and we can't wait for our fans to enjoy all the action this season," said Elks President and CEO Victor Cui. "We're excited to continue our relationship with a station that is so well known across Alberta. 630 CHED has showcased some of our Club's greatest moments, and we know this season will provide plenty of entertainment."

Morley and Dave will broadcast every Elks pre-season, regular season, and West Division playoff game, beginning with 630 CHED's pre-season coverage on Monday, May 22, when the Elks travel to take on the Calgary Stampeders.

The Green and Gold's highly anticipated regular season kicks off at home on Sunday, June 11 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, with Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Night.
